Gemini New Moon: Feel Your Way Forward
(with Tarot and tender guidance from the stars)

This post is a little different for the innovative Gemini New Moon. It’s short, hopefully sweet, and carries a co-creative invitation.

Astrologically, we’re sitting with a Gemini New Moon, joined by Mercury in its home sign—so there’s no shortage of mental buzz. Add a trine to Pluto in Aquarius (Retrograde), and we’re reminded of Mercury’s mythic gift: the only god who can descend into the underworld and return unscathed, carrying messages from the depths.

Meanwhile, Venus in Aries is hot with desire, yet her trine to Mars in Leo gives that fire somewhere to go. This dynamic can be impulsive, sure—but it also reveals a deeper teaching: how we may punish ourselves (and others) when we chase what we want without conscious connection.

Psychologist Stan Tatkin speaks to this with clarity: when we lead with “me first” energy, others experience us as adversaries. Even our tone or posture can betray a lack of care for mutuality. And yet—it’s not desire itself that’s the problem. Our longings are portals to our uniqueness.

Venus rules our desire nature, and with both Saturn and Neptune in Aries, we’re offered a rare moment to see our wants with fresh, even innocent eyes. This isn’t about denial. It’s about devotion. We’re asked to go deeper. To want well. To want wisely.

As an astrologer and diviner, I spend plenty of time gathering knowledge—studying palms, planets, numbers, cards. (Hint: Air rules my 10th house.) There’s always more to learn. But while preparing this post, I heard a colleague share about a simple Sunday meditation group, inspired by old Quaker meetings. Just shared silence. No curriculum. No agenda.

And something inside me exhaled.

With Jupiter entering Cancer on June 9th, we’re gifted a soft ballast to balance this sky full of air and fire. Suddenly, the pursuit of more information felt overwhelming. What I needed wasn’t more thought—it was presence.  How can I deepen my relationships with what I love instead of piling more ‘stuff’ on top of them?

Because the truth is: thoughts don’t decide for us. Our feelings about those thoughts do.  But that requires time, quality time to strengthen my relationship with what I feel and want to do with those feelings.  Otherwise, I’m just thinking about what I want and trying to decide, not letting myself really know the answers.  Neuroscience confirms that when the emotional center of the brain is damaged, people can’t make decisions—no matter how much data they have. Insight without emotional connection – first self connected, then others – leaves us stranded.

So, I invite you to do something different this New Moon.
You don’t need to chase clarity.
You need to feel it.

Dig deeper on what you desire and what its fulfillment will bring you… and what it may bring another?

💫 This New Moon’s Tarot Insight:

  • Mind – Ace of Wands:
A spark of inspiration wants to land. But it won’t come through logic alone—it arrives like a whisper, a flicker, a sacred yes. Listen for the idea that moves energy in your body.

  • Body – Six of Swords:
Something is ready to shift. Healing is underway. This is a transition card—leaving behind mental turbulence, crossing into calmer waters. Let your body be the boat. Let rest be a bridge.  When mind plays well with others, everybody wins.

  • Heart – Nine of Cups:
Here lies emotional satisfaction, the soft glow of contentment when we honor our truest desires. Not the surface wants, but the soul-level ones. What would really feel good?  Saturn/Neptune at Zero Aries is a blank slate to create something totally new.  Make sure it’s a a wish big enough to live your life by going forward.

  • Spirit – The World:
Completion. Integration. Wholeness. This card reminds us we’re already participating in something much bigger. The journey has been sacred. Now, Spirit invites you to embody the lessons, not just name them.

Thoughts are powerful—but they’re just the invitation.
Experience is the ceremony.

Where do you feel an authentic desire rising?
What idea lights you up from the inside and feels good enough to invite others to join you?
What transition is your body asking for?
Where are you being guided to close a loop, and fully arrive?

Let your thoughts take a seat at the table, but heart sits at the head.
Let your body translate your truth.
And let Spirit braid the strands into wholeness.

Affirmation:
I honor the spark of inspiration, the wisdom in my body, the longing in my heart, and the quiet guidance of Spirit. I trust the journey—and I let myself feel the way forward.

Thank you,

Lisa Greenfield
